As the team made it's way to Morris territory for last night's game, it was with one collective thought on each Tiger's mind - Playoffs. While perhaps not with quite the flare of last year's 47-8 win, no one can argue that a score of 24-13 to Cushing will still do the trick in much the same way.
"They played hard," Coach Shupe said in a BOC post-game interview last night. "Everyone did a great job and I'm excited about where we're at - We still have to keep moving forward though."
The Tigers' resolve did anything but soften as they picked up a lead of 18-7 in the first half and carried it throught to the end. The success brings them up to a season record of 5-4 as well as a ticket to this year's Varsity Playoffs for their 7th consecutive year - A new Cushing High School record. "We're in (the playoffs) and that's the main thing," said Shupe. "I'm so proud of the kids. They're gonna leave a great legacy. I say we go see what happens."
