Red Dirt Media Group and Cushing Public Schools are excited to announce they have recently teamed up with local sponsors to host an event for Cushing High School's Student Council. The program will take place at the Dora Hobbs Performing Arts Center on the CHS campus on November 5th, 2017. Doors will open at 6 PM and festivities will take place from 6:30 to 8 PM. Admission to the public will be free however donations to StuCo are always appreciated.
Among many RDMGtv highlights to wrap up the season the program will feature keynote speaker and former OU and Chicago Bears defensive end, Tommie Harris. Mr. Harris, winner of the Lombardi Award as the Nations Best Lineman in 2003, will also be taking time to sign autographs and deliver a motivational message for all who attend this end of year event.
Raffle prizes will include signed OU footballs, OU helmets and other exciting items. Additionally, every participant in this season's GRDA Trivia that submitted a correct answer will have a chance to win a free iPad mini. The drawing will take place during the event and the lucky winner must be present to accept their prize.
Many members from Cushing High School's Student Council will be participating in the evenings festivities including StuCo president Dakota Norman and Historian Amarie Griffeth who will be speaking at the event. "We will give the audience a little insight as to what goes on in StuCo," says Griffeth. "including our responsibilities for the year and we will be thanking our sponsors for giving us the opportunity to host such a neat event."
