The Cushing Tigers defeat Perkins after late game triple, 6-5

The Tigers took the last of four lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against Perkins , securing a 6-5 victory on Friday. Cushing finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. The Tigers scored on an RBI triple by Wyatt Dilley off Tulen, bringing home Matt Yates.

It was a good day at the plate for Cushing's Dilley. Dilley went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run.

The top of the third saw Perkins take an early lead, 2-0. Perkins then tacked on more runs when Beck scored on an error.

It didn't take long for the Tigers to respond as they scored two runs of their own in the fifth. Cushing scored on a walk by Shayne Kelly and a groundout by Thad Sherwood.Perkins tied the game in the seventh on a passed ball that scored Longbrake.The Tigers quickly matched Perkins 's strong inning with a one-run inning of their own in the seventh.
