Hot bat leads the Cushing Tigers past Prague 10-2 to Grab a No. 1 Seed for the Lady Tigers in District Play

An exceptional effort by Megan Lee spurred the Cushing Tigers to a 10-2 win in six innings over Prague on Tuesday. 

Megan Lee racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Cushing Tigers . She singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth and fifth innings. 

The Cushing Tigers beat Prague thanks to 12 hits, including three extra base hits. Megan Stump got the win for the Cushing Lady Tigers . She allowed two runs over six innings. Megan Stump struck out one, walked none and gave up seven hits. 

The Lady Tigers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring four runs on a home run by Megan Lee. Cushing  built upon their lead with five runs in the fifth. The inning looked promising, as Kayla Vasquez singled, bringing home Jade Ostrowski and Megan Stump to kick things off. That was followed up by Megan Lee's three-run blast, plating Vasquez and Hannah Ailey.

The Lady Tiger will start District play ranked 8th in 5A Slow Pitch Softball by the OSSAA with a point total of 303. The Lady Tigers will be the 1 seed in District play. See the District Schedule below.
