Cushing Lady Tigers outlast Stroud in high-scoring affair, 14-8

The Cushing Lady Tigers and Stroud lit up the scoreboard on Thursday as they combined for 22 runs. In the end, Cushing won the offensive battle 14-8 in seven innings.

The teams combined for 28 hits, including seven extra base hits.

The Cushing Lady Tigers sealed the win with six runs in the seventh. The Lady Tigers scored in the seventh on a two-run single by Lexy Koehn, a two-run single by Kennedy Holderread, and a two-run error.

Holderread racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Cushing Lady Tigers .

Even though Jade Ostrowski allowed eight runs over seven innings she still recorded the victory. She struck out one, walked three and surrendered 13 hits.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as the Lady Tigers scored five runs on two doubles, an error, a sacrifice fly by Jolie Boyle, and an RBI single by Holderread.
